Michael Fink

Michael Fink, International Technical Trading, Inc. (INTEC) president, brings the environmentally friendly Awesome Goo product to America. In his 17-year career with INTEC, Michael has spent 10 years as the marketing and sales manager. He became president in 2004. The older versions of Shoe Goo sold in Japan contains solvents, so he’s happy to bring this new solvent free Goo to America and Europe.

The son of an American diplomat stationed in Japan, Michael graduated from the American School in Japan in 1975. He enjoyed Japanese culture and decided to stay after his family moved on to another embassy. Michael perfected his language skills while selling seaweed in a Tokyo department store. He moved on to bigger things, opening his own English language school in 1979. In just two years, it became one of Tokyo’s largest English language schools, with more than 8,500 students. Michael’s international experience grew when he started importing music memorabilia into Japan. His import/export executive experience includes a position with PDQ as vice-president of distribution for Evenflo, and with product imports for Free Hand.

Michael and his wife of 30 years, Hisako, have two daughters living in Florida and one grand child. He uses Awesome Goo to repair his wife’s shoes. Michael has also tested the product’s water-proofing abilities.

“I dive near live coral reefs and my wet suit gets torn on the coral, so I use Awesome Goo to repair my wet suite. It’s a cost efficient and easy repair solution.”
Michael often travels to the U.S. for business, and he always packs some Awesome Goo to repair his suitcase handles. Spot him in an airport and you’ll see his suitcase corners reinforced with Awesome Goo.
